Export and Import Data

In July 2023, the total industry export amount was about 310 million USD, a year-on-year decrease of 30.4%. The export volumes of all categories have certain decline. Export volume of raw material and garment decreased by more than 30%, bedding export volume decreased by about 8.9%. Overall, from JAN to JUL, the total industry export amount was approximately 1.52 billion USD, a year-on-year decrease of 19.2%.

In July, the total industry import amount was about 100 million USD, a significant year-on-year increase of 22.7%. The increase in imports was mainly driven by garment, with 535,000 down garment imported in July, an increase of 24.6% compared to the same period last year, with an import value of 84.498 million USD, accounting for 82.4% of the total import amont in July. Overall, from JAN to JUL, the industry's total imports were about 390 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%.

During JAN-JUL, the export amount of down and feather in Xuancheng City reached 350 million RMB, of which the export amount to countries along the "Belt and Road" accounted for 160 million RMB, or 48.2% of the total provincial export amount in the same period.

Liuqiao Group and Yian County, Qiqihaer City, Heilongjiang Province Goose Industry Integration Project has two sections: the modern farming industry park and the high-end processing industry park, with a total investment of 800 million RMB. Once the project is completed, it will have the capacity to hatch 20 million goslings per year, breed and raise 400,000 breeding geese and commodity geese, slaughter 12 million market geese, process over 5,000 tons of down feathers, and over 600 tons of goose down. It is estimated that the annual production value will reach 2.8 billion RMB and it will create employment opportunities for over 1,000 people.
